She rides the High Seas Driven by the Black Winds of Hell She, mistress to thee She holds your life in her spell Sailors call her Satan's Ship Unholy One so cold They fear to feel the frozen flame That lives within her hold Tis the rise of the Black Witch She comes with the night With the moon Rising for you out of the sea She, demon queen Spellbound you are, you cannot flee Hear the insane laughter As the crew hails you aboard There's nothin' you can do but pray Pray to die Sailing away on a night neverending Is there no penance for all of my sinning? A nightmare? Can't tell if it's all in my head Satan release me Sailing away on a night neverending No absolution Possessed, a demon's at home in my head Satan release me (I'm better off dead)

Dimmendark 06:42
Shadows fall 'pon the land 'Waken'd evil breaking Adon's ban Marching from the North, Modru's minions come to claim The lives of Man Changes Day to Winternight Wall of Darkness hides them from our sight Frosted dreams Screams of evil fill the Night Mystic Shadowlight Gather'd 'neath spectral Light Cloak'd in Darkness Bloody sacred rites Magick Dark enslave the world For all eternity in Shadowlight Blacken'd Sun stand over all Winter War shall bring the final Fall In anguish'd cries Doomsayers prophesy The rise of the Mark Deathly Dimmendark

Ivory towers, tall and bold Mythic tales from Days Gone By Towers that reach to the sky To touch the Sun One would stand upon the tallest spire At one with the gods At peace with oneself Tis a fantasy for me No rest for my tormented soul Sanctuary lost Time Witness to the Fall of Mankind Ages of Glory turn to dust But with the passage of Time Comes Hope and New Dreams A New Age of Man arise As the tears of the gods fall And give New Life To our Ancient World I, the one, forever Destin'd to hear the Call, and take heed I, Bane of Darkness and Light Have no one No respite Rest my soul

In the Halls of the Goblin King There lies an ancient Ring Forg'd in Faerie Fire 'Twas ev'ry hearts desire Lost in Days of Olde The Ring of Sylvangold It calls to you and I Spirit of the Ruling Ring Ring of Magick, wild and strong Sings to me its Siren Song A Song of Hope, with bold refrain Tho' many Ages it has lain Forgotten in forbidden halls Still the Ringwraith Spirit calls It calls to you and I Beware--'Tis a perilous quest! "Champion, come to me Together we shall rule the Land Magick Ring and Iron Hand 'Tis your Fate--your Destiny O come and set my Spirit free" With all these words, and many more I found myself at Oaken Door Behind which precious treasures lie By mystic means and mortal might I found myself beyond the Door And lo, found bodies by the score Their grinning skulls cleft in twain The victims of a madden'd reign A reign of blood, and no mistake They came my precious Ring to take It calls to you and I Beware--'Tis a perilous quest! "Champion, before you Lie the bones of those who came before To seek what lies beyond the Door These champions of Iron and Steel What secrets, could they talk, reveal Of Lurking Death from Ages past Return their breath! The spell is cast" Rattle of bones and deathly sigh *Silence fills the deathly air No words to chase the gath'ring Gloom For you, the Chosen, have enter'd its Tomb And Broken seals bring Dark despair Rituals of Death prepare Magick Ring entomb'd in stone Awaits the One to wield the Might Foretold in dreams of endless Night The King--the One who wins the Throne He sits in Darkness All alone *Ending lyrics were added after the recording was complete, so they do not appear on the EP version.

about

Recorded in Oct. 1988, this EP is a 4-song demo that was duplicated to cassette and sent around the world. I recorded the track "Intro" with Mike on a separate occasion. We used it a few times as a live intro. I've added it to to make this a complete package of what Hyd recorded during the band's lifetime.
